We are seeking a highly motivated, professional, customer service
oriented team player to provide assistance to the HR Team and to all of
our Clipper employees.
SUMMARY: Prepares, inputs, and provides analytical payroll support.
Ensures compliance with all applicable state(s) and federal wage and
hour laws including international. Produces accurate and timely payroll
support in addition to light HR administrative duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Submits the online investigation requests and assists with new
employee background checks.
- Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains books current.
- Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles
reports from database as needed.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and
questions.
- Participates in benefits administration to include claims resolution,
change reporting, and approving invoices for payment.
- Assists in administration of compensation program; helps to monitor
performance appraisal process.
- Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and
seminars.
- Helps to maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review forms via
Success Factors and ensure that information in the system stays current.
- Assists HR department with various research projects and/or special
projects.
- Assists with the various employee discount coupons by contacting
companies for coupons.
- Schedules meetings, new hire orientations, coordinate travel and
interviews as requested.
- Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical
functions.
- Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
- Prepares new employee files.
- Processes mail.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, OR one to two years
experience in the HR field.
- Expert proficiency with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
familiarity with Microsoft Project and Access a plus; web-savvy.
- Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to
prioritize workload.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Maintain
confidentiality and integrity of the HR department.
- Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human
resources.
- Prior experience with an HRIS database preferred.
- Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of
position.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills & high attention to
detail.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Manage administrative responsibilities with enthusiasm and accuracy.
- Highly skilled in building and maintaining effective working
relationships with management and co-workers.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Occasional overtime
- Moderate Business Office Noise (Example: business office with
typewriters/printers, cubicle environment, light traffic)
